I first met Kitty Lysiak back in the mid-'90's when her husband Frank and I worked together at Rich Products.  Then, a few years later, when I helped start Food Service Enablers, Kitty came to work for us and helped us grow our business for many years.  Since her retirement a few years ago, we've kept in touch and have been able to get together with her and Frank on occasion, including a few very special evenings on Lake Erie boating with other great Rich's friends.

Kitty has been battling cancer since December 2017. She has endured both surgery and chemotherapy treatments. More recently, Kitty was selected as a candidate for a new course of experimental T-Cell treatment. This specific treatment is only available at Roswell Park Cancer Institute for patients who have tried surgery and chemotherapy without success and who could benefit from this possible cure. Much of the funds raised this year, will go directly to Roswell's cancer research team for new experimental treatments, just like the one Kitty is undergoing.

I will be raising money and playing my heart out for Kitty at this year's 11-day Power Play.

Join our team and help us reach our goal, or donate to our efforts! No matter how you choose to support us, YOU are making a difference in the lives of more than 50,000 patients who turn to Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center for hope each year.

Your donation provides funding that researchers need to investigate new treatment options that could save lives in our community and around the world. In fact, for every dollar donated, Roswell Park can leverage an additional $13 in new grant funding.

Thank you for visiting my page and your donations!

ABOUT 2019 11 Day Power Play Community Shift

This summer, more than 2,500 pairs of skates will hit the ice to play in the 2019 11 Day Power Play Community Shift to help in the fight against cancer! The 11-day game will be played in continuous shifts at Harborcenter in Buffalo, NY. This important event supports The 11 Day Power Play, raising critically-needed funds for cancer research and wellness programs at Roswell Park, Camp Good Days and Make-A-Wish WNY. While it is physically challenging to play in a marathon hockey game, it's a walk in the park compared to what most endure in their battle against cancer. Cancer is a disease that touches everyone, and The 11 Day Power Play wants to make an impact in our community. In the past two years, The 11 Day Power Play has raised nearly $2.5 million supporting cancer causes in Western New York.

Donations are graciously accepted online or by check. Please write checks out to 'The 11 Day Power Play' and send to PO Box 4, Buffalo, NY 14223. If you are interested in a sponsorship, contact Sara Schumacher today.
